Hurricane Irene Doesn't Just INSPIRES!

Well after we went to the store...bought 200.00 worth of water, groceries etc. to prepare for Hurricane Irene, we stayed inside and waited.  We have been watching The Weather Channel all day.  This has given me TONS of time to sew and be creative.  Thank you Irene for that...hopefully my house and cars will still be intact by Monday.  So here I am sitting and sewing for as long as the electricity stays on.  This is my first creation today:

My Autumn/Fall embellished jeans will be available in the shop soon....after we make it through this storm.  Hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst here in MA.

School Is in Session...Time to Organize your Child!

Time to organize our kids...right?  Doesn't that make school and life much easier when you are organized?  Here are some great free things I have found to help you.

I just found a GREAT site to help you organize your child.  The best thing about it....FREE PRINTABLES!!!
There are great charts for reading....organizing your child's homework....reading kits...etc.  Check it out! Be sure to click on FREE PRINTABLES

Here is another site I found for charts for your child....potty training...behavior...chores...all free, but not as cute as Creative Mama's I must admit.  They even have instrument practicing charts!

On this can customize your own chart for your child and their needs:  The charts have fill in the blank to customize it yourself.

Here you can design your own chart online with different styles and fonts etc.  You choose everything and then print it out finished!   Is a fellow Etsy Kids Team Member.  She has GREAT organizing baskets and even cute trick or treat bags! Here is one example:

If you are looking for  chore charts and custom charts that are VERY cute, will last, and you can use over and over check these out:  She is also a fellow Etsy Kids Team Member.  Here is one of my favorites:

On my site...I have a few organization things to help organize your child and their life:

Here are some of the chalkboards i have listed in my shop so you can keep organized by writing down notes to your child or hubby or lists of homework, etc.  Even use them to practice writing for your child.

Ever wonder where to put all those things the kids bring home?  Is your fridge overloaded with items?  How about rotating the best ones...A papers, great art, on these custom art, homework, or picture hangers from my shop.  Tell me your child's initials, the colors you want and the things he or she likes and i will do the rest.

Also about to list this one of a kind desk organizer....great for teacher or your child's desk at home!  Will be in the shop soon!

New Halter Dress - Limited

Well...yesterday was my birthday and I made a new item.  :)  My oldest daughter inspired my design and that is why I called it The Gwyneth (her name).  She loves purple and yellow and that is just what this is.  Seems like it is so easy to find pink clothes for girls...but you don't see as much purple.  This design is very limited in quantity.  So get yours before they run out!

Fall is coming fast!

I don't know about you, but I am looking forward to the fall!  We just moved up here to Western Massachusetts and I am really excited about seeing all the fall colors and getting the color weather.  In the past, I have not made that many "seasonal" items.  I think this is because we have not lived in many seasonal places...Southern CA, Hawaii, San Antonio, TX, Savannah, Ga.  Now that we live in a seasonal area, it is inspiring new seasonal designs for me.  :)  Here is a new outfit I designed for Fall with the child who may not like  "scary" things or the family who may not celebrate Halloween.  It can be hard to find seasonal outfits for that time of year if you do not celebrate Halloween, but still want to celebrate the season with your lil one. So here is my shabby scarecrow set and a pumpkin onsie (in the process of making a matching skirt).  I designed, drew, cut, and sewed the appliques myself so you can be assured they are OOAK (one of a kind).  On a side note, I can also make these in adult sizes.  I had a request from a teacher to duplicate the pumpkin on an adult, long sleeved, tee and that is just what I did for her...two of them!  So don't be afraid to ask for custom listings.  :)

Now available in my shop

BTW I am so proud of myself...first time I spelt   Massachusetts without spell check. - and that was just the second.   LOL
